After a life as an architect, Marianne Pascal decided to devote herself entirely to art. The many media she uses (drawing, painting, installation, video and writing) vary according to the theme explored.
Her work invites us to immerse ourselves in the world of childhood, memories and dreams, using the metaphor of travel through time and space. She works with recycled materials, assembling them in a fragile equilibrium, asserting the art of bricolage.
The objects created, often animated, produce noise and light.
The videos are edited from sounds and images captured in the past, set against those of the present
She has written an essay on art, “S’accrocher au monde”, published in March 2021 by L’art-dit, and an essay on the unconscious, “l’inconscient(e)”, published in September 2022 by Stilus. A third book on art and space is in progress.
